Carefully considered menu of precisely crafted dishes celebrating highest quality ingredients. Simple, elegant presentations. Excellent wine list focused on food pairings. Perfectly executed, balanced cocktails that were creative without being ridiculous. Truly exceptional breads and crusts- the best sourdough I've ever had. Knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic staff performing a high (if perhaps a wee bit pretentious for Kensington) level of service - even though harried by an apparent lack of bussers/barbacks. Lively and upbeat bistro atmosphere of 20 to 40somethings- maybe a bit too boisterous for romantic dinners or really relaxed evenings. Unobtrusive but not insipid soundtrack. Flattering lighting. Spotlessly clean. Excellent cost/benefit ratio: not inexpensive, but really worth every penny. Enthusiastically recommended. Will return.

My husband treated me to dinner for our birthday. Our server, Keith, was humorous, efficient and very knowledgeable on the menu selections. We ordered starters (the grilled octopus was the best I have ever had) and two pasta dishes. One pasta was a special of tubed pasta with a spicy tomato sauce flecked with pork jowls. The other was the squid ink with octopus and almonds. It was swoon worthy. We shared a dessert of the blueberry mousse with shaved frozen oranges. It was one of the best desserts I have ever had. It was a perfect ending to a fabulous meal!

Had a birthday dinner for 7 last night. What an amazing night! The service was perfect in every way, the food was delicious since we ordered about 10 different menu items to share. The pizza was the best due to the crust and ingredients and the pasta was to die for. Between all the food and desserts and drinks, it was just plain fun! We loved the atmosphere. Dark, cozy and warm, we felt at home. All of us enjoyed dinner and would go back in a heartbeat!
